Artist Statement / Bio

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved and created art. As a child I would use acorns, sticks and old clothes to make dolls, my grandmother’s old stockings were used to create balls and everything became something – tomato crates became doll beds and tuna cans recycled into pincushions and secret holders for my seashells.

As a young adult I opened by first shop on Highway 85 in Clayton County “Gifts of Love” and then “Dollmaker’s Delight” was born in 1993 it was located on Highway 85 as well. Dollmaker’s Delight sold porcelain dolls, doll making supplies and offered doll classes. Later the business  moved to an online business, combined the love of dolls  and creating children's clothes and came the birth of Patdoodles in 2010. Patdoodles allows us to incorporate a bit of all the things I love ~ sewing, doodling and creating!

I enjoy working in all mediums - oils & acrylics for paintings, fabric, porcelain and vinyl to create all types of children's clothes, dolls  and almost any material inspires me to create ART!
